About the Scottish Video Game Orchestra

Big soundtracks. Epic adventures. One seriously good orchestra.

Founded in 2026, the Scottish Video Game Orchestra (SVGO) brings the worlds of gaming and orchestral music together in one epic musical adventure. From the soaring themes of Halo and the vast landscapes of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim to the nostalgia of Pokémon and the fantasy of The Witcher 3, we celebrate the incredible music that makes our favourite games unforgettable.

Based in Scotland, SVGO is dedicated to bringing video game soundtracks to life through the power, energy, and sheer spectacle of live orchestral performance. We’re bringing together musicians who share a love of gaming, great music, and the occasional excessively long discussion about which soundtrack is the greatest of all time.

Whether you’re a lifelong gamer, a classical music enthusiast, or someone who still gets emotional hearing the music from a game you played twenty years ago, there’s a place for you here.

We’re here to prove that video game music belongs on the concert stage. No cheat codes required. Just great musicians, legendary soundtracks, and a shared passion for the music behind the games we love.

So, grab your controller, ready your instrument, and join the party. Scotland’s next great musical adventure starts here.
